Vacancy Details:
The Companies Tribunal calls for applications for the appointment of Members to serve in the following committees, for three years:
Audit and Risk Committee X 3, Centre: Pretoria | Ref – 07/2024
Key Responsibilities:
- Safe-guarding of assets
- Oversight of adequate procedures and controls; financial reporting processes and systems of internal control over financial reporting
- Audit processes
- Oversight on internal processes for monitoring compliance with laws, regulations and the code of ethics and conduct
- Previewing of financial information and preparation of annual financial statements
- Review of items highlighted by the internal auditors and the internal and external auditors
- Enterprise wide risk management, anti-corruption and combined assurance processes
- Business continuity management process
- Overseeing of the implementation of the corporate governance model,
- Advising/guiding/supporting the institution on any other relevant matter of significance.

Requirements:
- A BCom or B Compt. degree in Financial Accounting or Auditing, a degree in Economics, a degree in Law, and a degree in Information Technology
- The following will be added advantage: a master’s or higher degrees in any of the above, registration in any relevant body such as SAICA, IIA, IRMSA, IPS, LPC, ICITP, etc.
- Five (5) years management experience in Risk/Audit/ Financial/Information Technology/Compliance/Legal and participation in governance structures
- Three reference letters from previous and current Risk or Audit Committees or other governance committees
- Analytical reasoning abilities
- Good communication skills and
- Understanding of the relevant regulatory frameworks.
- Preference will be given to candidates with Law, Information Technology and Internal Audit qualifications and/ or experience.
