Assistant Supply Chain Management Practitioner (Ref: 04/2024)

Vacancy Details:

Key Responsibilities, but not limited to:

  • Assess needs to ensure that goods and services are acquired to deliver agreed services of the Tribunal.
  • Coordinate and implement procurement plan.
  • Implement and monitor demand management plan.
  • Ensure that goods/services to be procured have not already been provided for on National Treasury transversal contract.
  • Draft proper and unambiguous bidding documents and criteria.
  • Invite bids from relevant service providers on the central supplier database.
  • Advertise bids in prescribed media
  • Open bids at the stipulated time and place upon closure of bids.
  • List bids in a bid opening register upon receipt.
  • Makes sure that all the required documentation are signed by a duly authorized person.
  • Publish particulars of successful bidders in accordance with prescriptions.
  • Administrate deviations from competitive bidding in accordance with prescripts

Requirements:

  • National Diploma in Supply Chain Management or equivalent
  • 2 years working experience in Supply Chain Management

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Ability to read and interpret documents
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook), Pastel and Internet Explorer.
  • Knowledge of PFMA, PPPFA, BBBEE, National Treasury regulations and related instruction and circulars.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Interpersonal skills
