Please join us in congratulating Dr. Portia Maluleke, our ARC Chairperson, on the outstanding achievement of her PhD in Information Technology, with a remarkable thesis titled “Understanding Collaboration in the Information Systems Post-Merger Integration Process”!   Her thesis investigated the influence of collaboration on the Information Systems (IS) post-merger integration process between two merging organisations in the ICT sector. The research employed a qualitative case study methodology and utilized a conceptual framework derived from various collaboration theories. The study significantly contributes to literature by offering insights into collaboration’s role during IS post-merger integration, a topic rarely explored within the African context. Furthermore, it develops a practical collaboration framework for the IS post-merger integration process, which can be adopted by practitioners and researchers to improve IS integration efforts.
