We are pleased to introduce to you Ms Irene Mthatho, our new Chief Financial Officer.

Ms Mathatho is a Certified Financial Officer and a member of the Chartered Institute for Business Accountants. She has over 25 years’ experience in the financial sector serving in both the private and public sector.

Her career began in 1998 at South African Revenue Services (SARS) serving as an income tax auditor, later joining KPMG and UBANK. From 2004 to 2011, she served at the National Treasury first as Deputy director and then Director accounting support and reporting.

Later on, Ms Mathatho joined the ranks of CFO’s, first at the Municipal Demarcation Board, National Metrology Institute of South Africa, Companies Tribunal and until recently at the National Agricultural Marketing Council

Under her finance stewardship at the Companies Tribunal, the organisation was awarded six consecutive clean audits. She has also served in several boards and audit committees and currently she is serving as the Audit and Risk Committee at the HWSETA.

Ms Mathatho’s qualifications include MBA, Higher Diploma in Tax Law and B.Com Hons. Her corporate profile and achievements were also covered and credited in financial publications like CIBA CFO Talks and CFO (SA) online magazine.
